Russia’s Rosneft begins oil supplies from Sakhalin field
MOSCOW, Nov 20 (PRIME) -- Russian oil major Rosneft has begun pumping oil from the northern extremity of the Chaivo field located offshore the island of Sakhalin, the company said in a statement Thursday.
Rosneft will ship two tankers filled with the Sokol oil blend until the end of 2014, it said.
The field will produce 1.5 million tonnes of oil a year.
